Thai Amateur Weightifting Association (TAWA) has continually progressed and widely gained acceptance from Thaipeople . This is because every ex-President fo TAWA Formulated apporopriate dixcipline and principles of work.

    At the present, TAWA's Executive Committee and othe concerned put hteir rjll effort i8n runging any activitees to develop Weinghtlifting sport in Thailand. As president of TAWA, I would like to take this opportunity ot express my sincere thanks to them all for their kind contribution to the development of Weightlfing spot in Thailand

    TAWA has bee honoured by Asian Weightlifting Federation to be the host of "the 9 th Asian Junior Women's & 17th Junior men's Weightlifting championships and 6th Asian Youth (Boys'&Girls') Weightlifting Champoionships during 4 - 16 October 2004 at Chiang Mai University , Chiang mai Province. This is a good chance to show high competence fo Thailand to organizing inernational events which can encourage a love in sport to all the Thai.
